Cycling enthusiasts and coffee lovers alike need look no further in their search for the ideal Tour de Yorkshire viewing spot.
The Richard Burton Art Centre in Buckton is situated directly on the prestigious race’s route, and is gearing up to celebrate the event in style.
“We will be offering Tour de’ccinos” said artist Richard Burton. “It’s just a capuccino with a chocolate dusting shaped into a cyclist.
“It’s a great spot because we are based on the actual route itself. We are on a really great vantage point so people will be able to see the cyclists coming up a long straight from Bempton and on into Buckton.”
As one might expect the café and gallery is pulling out all the stops when it comes to decorating ahead of the big day. Richard added: “Buckton has become quite a colourful little corner and everyone has put up a lot of bunting. We’ve also got a blue and yellow bike outside the café.”
The gallery and café became an internet sensation two years ago after it began offering “Capuffin’ccinos”, to celebrate the return of the seabirds.
“It went viral on the internet and we had people from all over the world wanting a Capuffin’cciono. I don’t know if the Tour de’ccino will be quite as huge, but we wanted to do something quirky.”
The Richard Burton Art Centre on Main Road in Buckton is accepting reservations ahead of the Tour de Yorkshire.
