FILEY'S Crescent Hill, where concerns have been raised about subsidence, will continue to be monitored but there will be no new investigation in the foreseeable future.
County councillor Mike Cockerill said he was disappointed with Yorkshire Water, whose response he described as "lacking in credit".
He said: "Yorkshire Water state derisorily that their sewer is fine even though they could not get their camera through and are relying on the old CCTV footage."
He added: "The county council is understandably not prepared to undertake major investigation works at the present time, but may undertake some temporary reinstatement work shortly in order to make the area safe for the remainder of the summer.
"The area will continue to be monitored and a decision will be taken at the end of the summer as to whether or not to undertake major investigation works."
