Letter: Care team are credit to NHS

Bridlington hospital

We moved to Bridlington from ‘down south’ 16 months ago. We were a bit perturbed about the negative aspects regarding Bridlington Hospital, ie ward closures etc.

Last week I underwent surgery in the Lloyd Ward at the hospital.

The professionalism, care and treatment undertaken by Dr Matthew Harbottle and his team, as well as that of the nurses on the ward, was as good, if not better, than any of the London teaching hospitals I have been treated at previously.

They put me completely at ease, explained the procedure clearly, and at all times showed concern for my welfare. The whole team was a credit to the NHS. Well done.
