There has been lots of correspondence about transport links including re-instating the Pickering to Malton rail link.
Maybe it could be done using a modern supertram with a single line and passing places. They are quiet, green, handle curves, climb gradients well and given a straight, fenced track accelerate quickly to 60-70mph and they can still cross or even run along urban roads. A similar system could be used for the Whitby to Scarborough link. This would give access to York and stations south to Beverly and Hull.
It might also suit commuters from the northern side of Scarborough and reduce the horrendous traffic jams on our roads.
