A big thank you to Scarborough Hospital.
I first came to Scarborough in 1964 many times both in summer and winter working up at CSO Irton Moor, outside in all winds and weather on the antenna farm.
On August 11 we travelled from Tewkesbury to Scarborough to visit our grandchildren, the following morning I was taken to Scarborough Hospital with pneumonia. It’s the first time in 73 years that I was admitted into hospital.
I would like say a big thank you to all the staff in the ICU and Beech ward in the excellent way I was treated during my eight day stay. You read about all the complaints of the NHS. But thank goodness for them and all the hard work they do. All I can say is a big thank you once again.
