I thought it was worth a discussion on how the new estate being built near Eastfield doesn’t have broadband fibre.
There is national criticism that the UK doesn’t have respectable internet speeds.
Why isn’t it that if a new estate is being built, then so too, should the infrastructure for a future-proof communication system?
I would like to make clear that my blame doesn’t fall solely on the company that is building it, but in fact the government.
We are already falling behind other developing countries such as North Korea and there are meant to be plans for all UK households to be able to get fast speed internet.
Obviously this isn’t a serious commitment when there are no laws or rules in place to ensure new developments are built with broadband fibre.
