Re the re-siting of the Bathing Belle sculpture:
Further to your request in The Scarborough News (November 9) for a new site for this sculpture, may we suggest North Bay?
Walking from The Sands, and past the row of brightly coloured beach chalets, just beyond is an admirable site.
A few steps up from the promenade is a raised ‘patio’. It’s ideal for a symbol of bathing, in an area where bathing machines used to be in bygone days.
Certainly more appropriate than the shopping precinct – she deserves better.
