A MUSTON mother who was trapped in the heart of a raging Australian bush fire has said that work to rebuild the shattered community has begun.
Ex-Filey School pupil Sharon Brown, formerly Kirk, told the Mercury this week that “all is good now”, after the Margaret River fire, which left countless people homeless, finally subsided.
The 32-year-old added: “It’s still shocking to drive down to the beach and see the devastation but you can see how well the firefighters did and how many homes they did save.
“People are starting to rebuild there homes, which is great.”
She thanked people back home for their support and concerns for her and her family, husband Dylan, 32, and her children, Noah, 2, and Mia, 4.
Her parents, Anne and David, still live in Muston.
