Animal lovers in Scarborough are being urged to harness their inner super-power for poorly pets by donating their pre-loved clothing and accessories to PDSA.

The vet charity’s shop in Newborough is urging locals to come to the rescue by donating good quality, unwanted items which can be sold to raise money for sick and injured pets.

PDSA desperately needs donations including CDs, DVDs, books and homewares as well as men’s and ladies’ clothes, shoes and accessories.

Donations can be taken to the shop Monday to Saturday, between 9am and 5pm and on a Sunday between 10am and 4pm.

You have the power to save pets’ lives simply by donating your unwanted items – they make a huge difference. We’re desperately in need of good quality, second-hand items we can sell in the shop to raise money for sick and injured pets across the UK.

We’re appealing for all types of items, especially books, CDs, DVDs and clothing which are popular with our customers. We also need home furnishings such as vases, pictures and ornaments, as well as good quality men’s, ladies and children’s clothes.

To donate items to the shop, simply drop them off at 79a Newborough (opposite M&S main door or call 01723 503310 to arrange a collection).

PDSA encourages all supporters to sign up for Gift Aid, to help their donations go even further.

Gift Aid allows PDSA to claim an additional 25% of the value of each item sold, which helps raise over £1m a year for the charity.
