My wife and I were having a wonderful holiday in Filey recently.
Unfortunately on Sunday June 24, at approximately 4.30pm I was involved in an accident outside CJ’s Fish and Chip shop on Murray Street, Filey.
May I take this opportunity, through your newspaper columns to say a very big thank you to the staff of local shops, passers by and the emergency ambulance staff who helped a 71-year-old man when he was knocked to the ground and pushed three yards along the footpath by a mobility scooter. Fortunately, I did not sustain any serious injuries, just cuts and bruises and a case of shock.
Still sore, swollen and bruised, but smiling, can I again say thank you to everyone concerned.
