Jake Stone put Tavern ahead when he won a tackle and the ball flew into the back of the net, but Barrowcliff hit back once again to make it 2-2.
Leeroy Donaldson sealed the victory for Tavern, who had Steve Chittenden in form, with a well-taken free-kick.
