TELEVISION viewers in Filey can find out more about the impending digital switch-over during a roadshow in the town.
Representatives from Digital UK will be in Tesco, in Station Avenue, on Friday, June 10, to answer questions about the changes and how people can still access their favourite channels.
Residents will also be able to find out when the switchover is happening, options for going digital and see technical demonstrations on how to retune a digital box and convert to the Switchover Help Scheme.
Filey’s switchover to digital is expected to take place in August or September depending on whether viewers receive their signal from the Emley Moor or Belmont transmitters.
John Askew, Digital UK regional manager for Yorkshire, said: “The whole of the Yorkshire television region, covering more than six million viewers, will have switched to digital by the end of September.
“This is a great opportunity for people to meet the teams from Digital UK and the Switchover Help Scheme, find out how to prepare and learn what assistance is available.”
Anyone unable to attend the roadshow can ring the Digital UK advice line on 08456 505050 or visit digitaluk.co.uk
