I write in response to your article in The Scarborough News, concerning the mess created by gulls.
As a well-established company dealing with such problems throughout the UK, and providing consultancy services worldwide, I can assure you that there ARE legal methods of controlling avian pests such as gulls. If your local councils believe that the birds’ legal status means that nothing can be done, they understand neither the law, nor the problem.
Under the UK’s “General Licences”, avian pests can be controlled for health and safety reasons (among others).
As a company, we deal with such problems on a daily basis, and offer a free initial consultancy meeting, in order to ascertain the problem at first-hand, and thus formulate an effective strategy to solve the problem.
I would suggest that your local councils take a careful look at the law relating to gulls, and then consult a company such as ours, which can solve the problem in a legal manner.
