Flixton crushed by Sessay batsmen

Flixton crashed to a 10-wicket defeat against Sessay in division one of the York Senior League.

Flixton fell victim to some excellent batting as their 222-9 was overtaken without loss as Mark Wilkie cracked 106 not out and Matt Till an unbeaten 109 in an unbroken stand of 226.

Before tea, four Flixton batsmen had made good scores headed by Matt Nesfield’s unbeaten 48.

He was well supported by Neil Elvidge with 43, Rich Malthouse 33 and Matt Dandy with 37.

Tim Hall was Sessay’s best bowler with figures of 6-60.

Scarborough 2nds lifted themselves out of the division three south relegation zone with an advantage draw over Yapham who thus slip into the bottom two.

The North Marine Road side were able to make 180-7 as Kawsar Ahmed made 73, Josh Mainprize 34 and Jack Holt 25.

Yapham were reduced to 119-9 as Matty Kay took 3-31. Barry Pearson made 37 and Martin Pearson 32.
