Scarborough Athletic boss Rudy Funk is hoping that striker Ryan Blott will still be in his squad for the Evo-Stik North trip to New Mills on Saturday.
Club record goalscorer Blott has been courted by NCEL Premier leaders Tadcaster Albion for the past week and Boro are still awaiting his decision.
Funk has piled praise on the frontman for his recent performances and he would be delighted to have the opportunity to field him alongside strike-partner Gary Bradshaw at New Mills on Saturday afternoon.
The Boro boss said: “Ryan is a loyal lad with a huge affinity to Scarborough Athletic.
“He has been associated with Scarborough football for so many years and has been the talisman for our club during my four-year stay.
“I just hope that Tadcaster’s approach and financial package doesn’t turn his head, I’m sure it would have to be an amazing offer for him to even think about it.”
