Scarborough Athletic Reserves grabbed a late point in their quest to avoid relegation from the Humber Premier League.
A last-gasp Cameron Dobson goal booked a point against fellow strugglers St Andrews to maintain Boro’s healthy cushion above the drop zone.
Dobson netted after Jack Wood’s shot had hit the bar with just eight minutes left on the clock.
Darren Clough had fired Boro ahead, but St Andrews hit back well.
Boss Simm is looking for more points when his side entertain North Cave at Filey Community Sports on Saturday.
He said: “It was our worst performance since me and Sean Chapman came back to the club.
“But we got a point and that is what matters.
“We now have a tough test against a decent North Cave side on Saturday, hopefully we’ll pick up the three points that should make sure of our safety.”
The reserves have also been boosted by the return of Michael McNaughton to the line-up.
Boss Simm added: “Mike is a class act, his talking and experience will really help our young lads.”
