Robbie Hawkes’ bid to improve fitness levels and football skills of the area’s youngsters has been given a welcome boost.
Hawkes Health, which offers one-on-one coaching, football fitness and other coaching, has teamed up with Ben Mason of plumbing and heating firm BLM.
Hawkes, a former footballer with Scarborough Athletic, Pickering Town and Bridlington Town, said: “I have been friends with Ben for 13 years.
“Ben knows how passionate I am about giving children the best opportunity to develop into athletes and footballers.
“He then offered a sponsorship where I put his logo on my van and flyers and he will buy the youngsters some equipment, which was great, an offer I couldn’t refuse.”
Hawkes’ one-on-one coaching sessions are fully booked up until 2017, though he has openings in his other foot clinic and football fitness.
He added: “I want to give local kids the highest quality possible and my aim is to develop the modern day footballer into athletes who use both feet comfortably.
“I coach children of all ages, gender and abilty. My business motto is ‘Be the best version of you’ because that is what I want for them.”
