The Scarborough & District Sunday League have paid tribute to official Karen Walker, who sadly passed away last week.
Karen, who was the wife of league secretary Tony Walker, had been a huge help the the set-up for a number of seasons, but she was recently forced to stand down due to ill health.
League chairman Mark Plumpton said: "Karen has been part of the Sunday League for many years.
"She has been helping Tony with his various roles as league secretary, which includes registration and collating fixtures.
"Karen has been the sole officer of the registration side of the league for the past four seasons, but she was forced to step down this year due to ill health.
"She will be sadly missed by not only the league committee but the league as a whole.
"Clubs have been messaging their condolences, which have been very touching and greatly appreciated.
"We all want to send our thoughts to Tony and his family in this tragic time."
