Scarborough made the long trip to Settle to face North Ribblesdale and turned in arguably their worst performance of the season.

The visitors started brightly but it was the hosts who took the lead with a try from their first attack.

Scarborough hit back with a Tom Ratcliffe penalty before the hosts replied with a penalty of their own followed by a catch and drive try.

A second Ratcliffe penalty kept Scarborough within touching distance and Jordan Wakeham’s quick thinking allowed him to dart over to reduce the arrears at the break to 13-11.

The home team dominated the second half as they ran in four further tries.

Matty Young and Jordan Wakeham both went over for Scarborough, but North Ribblesdale were deserved winners by a 42-21 scoreline.
