Scarborough Pirates suffered a double blow as they lost 16-0 to Hull Dockers and lost player/coach Adam Lee for the rest of the season.
Lee suffered a broken jaw after 25 minutes of the bruising encounter at Eastway and had to be taken to hospital.
The game could have ended very differently for the young Pirates side had they not had three tries chalked out, but they eventually succumbed to a 16-0 defeat against a well-drilled Dockers side.
A disappointed Lee said: “It looks like I will be out for the rest of the winter season and then half of the summer season too.
“I was only there for 25 minutes as I had to go to hospital but from what I hear, the scoreline doesn’t do us any justice at all.
“Josh McNeil was left as our only half-back after I went off injured and he coped well.
“Alex Collins was in good form again and is playing well at the moment.
“Our captain Dave Douthwaite tells me it was a good team performance and the lads all did well against a strong a solid Hull Dockers outfit.
“I know we started very well against a team that reminded me a lot of Cottingham Tigers, who were the best side I’ve played against before.”
