Scarborough RUFC will welcome back 2015/16 Player of the Year Isaac Faamau and former vice captain Matty Jones next season.
Faamau made a stunning impact at Silver Royd and was the overwhelming vote for their Player of the Year honour, while Jones was a key player before leaving for New Zealand.
The double signing comes as a huge boost to coach Lee Douglas.
“It’s great news that Isaac and Matty will be with us next season.
“Isaac isn’t just a good player, but he’s a fantastic guy too, he trains well and always puts in a good performance.
“I’ve seen Matty play before and he’s a clever player, and also a leader, something we’ve lacked over recent seasons.
“We have the makings of a good team and if the guys buy into it, we will do very well next season I’m sure.”
Scarborough’s deputy director of rugby Nick Ingham is also working hard to bring others into the club.
He said: “We’re still in talks with a handful of players who have expressed an interest in joining us.
“The process of recruitment is tireless. I’d say that for every player we recruit we talk to about a dozen players in total in order to reach the point of them agreeing to play for us.
“Perhaps our biggest news is the return of Matty (Jones).
“Having played alongside Matty for several seasons, most latterly as my vice-captain, I’m excited about the leadership, physicality and drive that he’ll bring to the team and I’m confident he’ll add a bit of and x-factor to our games.”
Jones can't wait to get back into action at Silver Royd. He said: "We are really happy and excited with our return it's hard to leave our family and friends in New Zealand, but we are looking forward to heading back to Scarborough and the rugby club.
"It's been about five years since we have been back and I'm looking forward to catching up with the boys seeing all the new faces in and around the club.
"My oldest boy has just started ripper rugby this year and I'm looking forward to watching him run around for Scarborough minis on a Sunday morning."
