Matthew Tinker rounded off his amateur season in style with victory over Bryce Goodridge in Reading on Saturday.

Tinker took on Goodridge, from Basingstoke, on Saturday night after he was offered the bout at short notice on Tuesday.

Goodridge is a 6ft7 counter-puncher who Tinker has beaten once previously in the semi-finals of the Box Cup.

Tinker took the fight to Goodridge, who is an elite experienced fighter with over 100 bouts and has a dozen England caps and is also the three Nations Champion, from the first bell, taking away his supreme reach and his workrate won him the fight by split decision.

Tinker said "I'm looking forward to next season after finishing with a good win."
