I have been asked by quite a few golfers to demonstrate a drill which will help them to stop coming over the top, causing an out to in swing which leads to a slice or pulled shot.
The over the top motion is from poor sequence and causes the arms to be thrown away from the body.
This can be caused by either poor lower or upper body motion. To keep it simple, all I want you to do is focus on your hands.
When you are going to start your downswing try and get the feeling that your hands are going to drop into your right pocket (right hand golfer).
This will stop your arms from being thrown away from your body and encourage the club to swing on an in to out swing, helping straighter shots.
