Flixton claimed their first win of the season with a 85-run success at Bolton Percy in the York & District Senior Cricket League first division.

Matthew Nesfield hit 33 and Rich Malthouse 31 as the visitors posted a decent 182-9 from their 48 overs, Peter Houseman claiming 4-40 and Dan White 3-46 for Bolton Percy.

Lee Elvidge then tore through the home batting order, bagging 4-35 as Percy slipped to 97 all out in 35.4 overs.

Scarborough’s game at Clifton Alliance in the premier division and Scarborough 2nds’ home game with Goole Town 2nds were both abandoned due to the heavy rain which caused havoc among the local cricket scene this weekend.
