Harrison Wood and Charlie Roberts starred as Scarborough 2nds hammered Welton & Brough by 10 wickets to seal the Division Three South title.

Welton were all out for just 59 as spinner Wood took 5-20, before Roberts hit 50 as Scarborough took just 11.3 overs to charge down their victory target for the loss of two wickets.

Mark Cowell’s men ended up 19 points clear of previous league leaders Cottingham, who suffered a surprise defeat at ninth-placed Fenner.

Scarborough’s first team were left frustrated by the elements as their Premier Division tie against Beverley Town grinded to a halt with the home side on 208-6 after just 38 overs, Mark Tennant unbeaten on 58 while James Pick, 50, and Darren Harland, 38, pitched in.

Chris Mann smashed a 15-ball 50 and took two wickets for Flixton, but they couldn’t get over the line against Pickering as they pair drew their Division One clash.
