Car ownership comes with certain costs attached and, unless you’ve made the switch to an all-electric vehicle recently, the pain of filling up regularly with fuel is one of the most frequent and most expensive.
While car tax and insurance creep up predictably every year, the price of fuel is more volatile, affected by global wholesale prices and retailers’ own strategies, leaving drivers facing unpredictable costs.
The RAC’s Fuel Watch is predicting that prices are likely to fall in coming weeks but a new cashback deal is offering drivers a little extra help with money off their next fill-up.
Until November 3, website TopCashback.co.uk is offering a £10 refund on fuel purchased at filling stations across the UK.
The cashback service has confirmed that offer works for purchases made at Tesco, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s, Asda, the Co-operative, Esso, BP, Texaco, Gulf, Total, Jet, Murco and Shell filling stations although purchases can be made at other fuel stations too.
How to claim
To claim your free fuel offer you must fill up with at least £10 worth of any type of fuel from an eligible filling station and then submit a photo of your receipt to the TopCashback site.
The photo must clearly show the date and time of purchase, the fuel station name and the item purchased that’s eligible for cashback. You can fold it to fit all the information into one image.
Once you’ve submitted the photo, it will take up to seven days to appear in your TopCashback account and from then the payment will take up to 30 days to process.
The offer is only valid to the first 10,000 new customers signing up to the website and runs from October 21 to 11.59pm on November 3.
