Details of the line up for the second Macmillan Acoustic Picnic in Cloughton have been revealed.
Last year’s event featured guitar legend Gordon Giltrap and Blair Dunlop.
“This year we have many exciting artists and have certainly built on last year’s event,” said organiser David Ward.
He initiated the event in memory of his late father Mike Ward who lived in Robin Hood’s Bay.
“I am overwhelmed by local people’s response to this event and the kind offers of help from all walks of life,” he said.
This year’s line-up includes Edwina Hayes, Andy Doonan lead vocalist of group Everlate, Alexa De Strange, Rachel Croft, Carrie Martin, The Colour Fire and Twister.
The event will be held at Newlands Cottage Paddock, Newlands Road, Cloughton, on Sunday August 12 from 2pm until 7pm.
“This is a Macmillan special event. Enjoy a great chilled out day of acoustic music from accomplished recording musicians in a picnic atmosphere,” said David.
“And all the while taking in breathtaking views.”
He gave special thanks to Phil and Mel Laycock, of P&L Sound and Lighting, Flossies Farm Shop Newlands Farm, Cloughton, Bella Rose Café Peasholm, Active Security Solutions, Focus Cleaning, Scarborough and ESOL Scarborough.
Tickets are £10. Children under 12 accompanied by a parent are given free entry.
Tickets are available from Flossies Farm shop – just past the Bryherstones pub on your right– , Newlands Farm, Cloughton, Scarborough.
As well as the music there will also be a bar, festival food and luxury loos.
All proceeds will be going to Macmillan.
Security staff will be on hand to assist any needs you may have.
The town centre ticket office is Bella Rose Cafe, Peasholm, Scarborough (open 7 days a week).
