Scarborough turned in perhaps their best performance of the season at Old Brodleians last week, ending the Halifax-based outfit’s unbeaten home record and and earning a bonus point with a four-try 32-13 win.
Fly-half Tom Harrison ran in a couple of tries with flanker Devin Ibanez and full-back Tom Ratcliffe bagging one apiece, centre Graham Hogg added a further 12 points with the boot.
The Seasiders are in action on Saturday at Silver Royd with Heath RFC their opponents.
The west Yorkshiremen have had a poor start to the season and currently lie third-bottom in Yorkshire One.
However, their fortunes took an upturn last week when they won their second game of the season 20-10 at Hullensians.
Heath’s only other win of the season was a 23-12 win at bottom club Acklam earlier in the season.
However, they have had more than a few tight games and have earned six losing bonus points so far this season.
A losing bonus point is earned if a team loses by seven points or less.
Coach Lee Douglas has included all three of last week’s try scorers at Old Brods as well as ‘semi-retired’ full-back Graeme Jeffrey.
Kiwi Isaac Faamau, who has missed the last couple of games with injury, is doubtful for Saturday, as is influential centre Hogg.
In general, the Seasiders have had the upper hand in games with Heath of late and have recorded home wins in the last two seasons - 20-12 in 2014 and 32-10 in last year.
Elsewhere on Saturday the Vikings and Gulls (veterans XV) are at Pocklington and Roundhegians respectively.
The Danesmen entertain Pocklington at Silver Royd.
All games kick off at 2.15pm.
The Valkyries don’t have a fixture this Sunday.
